We have had a combination of spending time working on our own family trees while waiting for replies from contacts, to being busy going to appointments.  We met with the director of the National Archives in Kew which is also a Family History Library.  She is very dedicated and knowledgeable.  After the meeting we were invited to their staff meeting which was at a Chinese restaurant.  It was very good but quite different than what we've had before.  The pork belly was very good!

I have some more pictures of our neighborhood and shopping area.
This is our street as we leave our gate and head toward the business district.
We turn the corner and head down this street.  Coming  home I am always glad to get to the end of the wall because that means we are almost home.
Some intersections are weird.  There are one-way streets and they curve around.  It gets tricky to cross.
This is looking to the right up the street in the business district away from the stores.
This is looking down to the business district to the left.
A lot of  the buses in London look like these:

If you look closely you can see McDonalds.
Down the ramp you can see the library.  It's quite small, but we used the internet there until we got ours at home. You can see this is a "P-day."
Here is the gateway to the tube - or subway.  You have to go down an insanely long escalator, then through halls and down some stairs, more halls, then you get to the train.
Here is the Cooperative store.  It's a small grocery store that is better than a convenience store, but not by much.  There is a better store about two blocks away that is better when we feel like walking farther.  There is a 99p store around the corner.
These are helpful when waiting to cross the street, especially for those of us who are still thinking in terms of the "real world" when it comes to traffic.

We have braved driving out of town to Costco and Tesco.  Costco is a little different than the ones in the US.  But we bought some cheese there that is my new favorite food!   It's Sparta brand cheese that you can fry in butter and it browns nicely without melting. It's made of cow, goat and sheep milk.  It's delicious!  I love Tesco, it's like a Target.

We have some appointments coming up the next few weeks that we are looking forward to.  We are finally getting to do the work we are here for.
